Debra asked many questions to understand our preferences and desires and offered solutions consistent with our preferences and desires. She listened to our thoughts, likes and dislikes. We emphasized we had a budget for our retirement home and Debra advised on selections to remain within our budget. She did not simply find sources for these items but sources that provide high quality products at a fair price. Additionally, she identified and work with our selected suppliers to identify ways to lower costs.

It became clear during our interactions with Debra that she was making recommendations as though our house was her house. She was recommending what she would select if she was selecting and purchasing items for her own house.

Every appointment we went on she carried samples of everything I had selected, to make sure everything worked together. We were out of state for months at a time during the building process, and she handled every detail in our absence, and kept me in the loop as things progressed. She has a great eye for design and detail, and she clearly loves what she does. On top of her professionalism, she’s such a joy to spend time with. I will never build another house without Debra!

"When my husband and I decided that we wanted to remodel parts of our home, we decided that we needed the help of a designer to ensure our desired vision for our home was fulfilled.  After seeing designs by Abercrombie Interior Design, Inc.  in the Parade of Homes, we asked them to visit our house to discuss our remodel.  Right from the first meeting I knew we had the right designers.  They listened carefully to our thoughts, vision, likes, and dislikes.  They asked questions to get a better understanding of our lifestyle, and discussed issues with form and functionality.  We were looking at a major remodel that included a guest bathroom, powder room, master bathroom, and laundry room.  We wanted reliable designers with a complete work crew that could complete the entire job without us having to contract with separate craftsmen.  And that is exactly what Abercrombie Interior Design, Inc. provided.

From the start, their design ideas and suggestions were completely in sync with our goals and vision.  One of the greatest values of working with them was how they helped narrow down choices for us.  Our busy full-time work schedule did not lend itself to lots of running around looking at show rooms and design books.  Instead of having to look at 100’s of fixtures and dozens of wallpaper books, they narrowed things down to select choices based on our conversations.  Instead of stressing over paint colors, they suggested what would work, wouldn’t work, and why.  When there was a rare miss they listened and came back with additional ideas and choices.  

The designers collected all the material and construction bids and presented us with a detailed cost breakdown before work was begun.  Then they worked with us to meet our budget and modified the design as needed before construction.  Abercrombie Interior Design, Inc. was wonderful at finding design materials that gave us the look we wanted but still fit within our budget.

When it came to the actual remodel, the crews they hired were top notch.  They have high quality standards for the construction work and their crews meet those standards.  They coordinated the schedules of the craftsmen to ensure that work flowed continuously and on schedule.  And when something was not done to their impeccable standards, they made sure it was corrected.  Along the way, they continually made sure that my husband and I were happy with the ongoing work and the final outcome.  

In summary, their sense of design, color, and use of materials turned our house into an elegant home.  They transformed our master bath into a beautiful spa retreat.  They took a completely non-functional laundry room and converted it into a mud room/laundry room with lots of storage that is now the envy of our friends.  And it sounds silly but their selection of wallpaper for the powder room made that simple little room into a stunning show piece.  I highly recommend their work and would do it all again with them in a heartbeat."

Never could we have imagined that working with these delightfully creative ladies could be so effortless and fulfilling!
